The Future with 'be going to'  and 'will'

In English, there are several ways to talk about the future.  When we want to talk about something we are planning to do in the future, we use the words 'be going to.'
Example:  I'm going to study all day.

If we want to make a promise, we use the word 'will.'
Example: I will be home by 3:00.
